The problem we needed to solve
As part of the appraisal of senior managers in stc, we decided that we wanted to include a 360 Degree Feedback process.
We wanted to get a balanced view of how our senior managers were contributing to the company’s development, achieving their Key Performance Indicators, and leading their teams.
A 360, ‘all round’ feedback would give us this balanced view and would also provide pointers for training and development.
What we needed was a 360 that would:
- Assess the senior manager on his/her key responsibilities, including leading and managing teams, leading change and helping others to develop
- Be customised for each senior manager’s unique Key Performance Indicators
- Allow only the Line manager to feedback on KPIs and training needs
- Give additional weightings to feedback from Line manager, and to KPI ratings.
We needed a highly customisable and flexible 360 Degree Feedback, and a service provider that would be able to support us through the annual process effectively.
We also wanted to report the data differently for appraisees, their line managers and HR, taking into account confidentiality and working relationships.
How Track 360 solved the problem
Track 360 was able to provide us with the level of customisation we needed for our management appraisal 360 feedback.
We were able to customise the 360 questions, who responded to them and weight them according to their importance for the senior managers who are being assessed.
We are able to generate summary reports with key data for each appraisee, giving them an opportunity to review their feedback and to think about their strengths and development needs.
We also generate full reports for line managers and for HR, giving both the right depth of data for making key decisions and targeting overall development needs.

360 Degree Feedback has become an integral part of our performance evaluation, giving us consistency and measurement in key areas of performance. It is also critical in building a culture of feedback and accountability.
We are looking at further refining our current process and are confident that Track 360 will continue to support us with this key part of our performance management at stc.
